And so it is done…
That’s right guys and gals, I have signed myself up for next year’s London Marathon! Many thought I was stupid the first time round so I didn’t want to disappoint you and miss out on a second time to prove that I am up for running 26.2miles (42kms) again on April 22nd 2007.
I shall be setting up a blog space with my friend Robbie so that you can keep an eye on our progress but more importantly find out more about our chosen charities. More news on that once we have created it.
I’d like to point out that I’m not a big fan of running but in the process of training for the 2006 Marathon I taught myself a lot with regards to discipline, strength of mind, and self motivation. For these reasons I think I have become a stronger person for it. It’s a bit like a tough client project or something that we are going through with our personal lives; you know that the finish is in sight but you just have to get your head down and plod through it even if at times you’d rather wander off to the side and give up.
If you are eager and would like to make a financial contribution to my fundraising efforts then please click here and in exchange you will feel a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart. Any other warm fuzzy feelings are not my responsibility and maybe due to too much water intake…
Way to go Susanne, congrats on challenging yourself again. It’s going to be fun exchanging words of encouragement again when we’re both in pain
Seriously, marathon is something that very few can even contemplate attempting not to mention finishing and then wanting to do it again. And then you wonder why I say you’re one of the strongest women I know. Sheeera.

Respect for doing a marathon twice! Having done the Great North Run twice (about 10 years ago now!) which is a half marathon, I simply cannot imagine doing a full marathon. It just hurt running that distance. What is your target time? Do you have a training partner?
Good Luck

Vijay,
Robbie, Richard Evans (West of England Group) and I will be running the Great South Run this October. Richard is running for charity so ping him if you would like to sponsor him. I’m going for 4hrs 30 which is what I wanted this year - wearing high heels too much meant that the arch in my foot packed in on the 19th mile… no high heels for 2007!
Robbie and Susanne’s Marathon - come join in…
Think of this as a 1st mover notification. I am always in awe of those who can motivate themselves to…
