eOpen: fundamental changes to the way you manage volume licensing
Since 6th December 2007, the Microsoft eOpen website provides those with Volume license agreements access to product downloads and purchase of Media Kits. The thinking behind this is to reduce the deployment lead-time (available 24/7 for downloading and ordering) as well as fulfilment costs. This means that you won’t need to contact your existing distributor/supplier to order media kits. You will still need to talk to them when arranging the initial agreement.
Is all Open Media available for purchase on this site?
Media is presented as per your license entitlement, however some products are not available for download and therefore the Media kits are not presented for purchase. These are:
- Doc Kits (the documents needed to install the software)
- MicrosoftMath
- CRM Professional Server 3.0
- Windows Small Business Server (Standard and Premium Editions)
- Dynamics CRM Professional Server
If you need media kits for any of the products listed above, you will need to contact your existing supplier who will be able to help.
Are Downgrade rights supported?
Yes, products for which you have purchased on Open License and the version immediately prior to the current version are displayed on the site.
What is the limit on purchasing Media Kits?
The limit is 10 per product per Windows Live ID
Can I place fulfilment media orders to ship internationally?
You cannot place an order to ship outside of your country.
How can I return an order?
You can return products within 90 days of purchase. You should contact the Support Centre to do this. You can contact them on 0800 917 9016 regarding log-on queries, download issues, order status queries, as well as payment queries.
