Forefront Edge Security and Access Demonstration Toolkit

Mike highlighted this one and because lots of you fedback to me that you want to understand the opportunities regarding security on products such as Exchange or SharePoint, I thought you might want to download it and check it out for yourself.

The toolkit includes nine VMs which demo four scenarios:

Secure Remote Access with IAG (Intelligent Application Gateway) 2007

Showing IAG working with Exchange Server 2007 and WSS 3.0, as well as CRM3.0 being accessed via both a managed and unmanaged client. This will show SSL VPN, Policy-based Secure Access, and End-Point Security Management for IAG 2007.

Secure Remote Access with ISA Server 2006

This scenario shows ISA Server 2006 working with Antigen for Exchange, SharePoint, and Windows RMS (Rights Management Services) which sits nicely on top of Exchange Server and WSS. In this part you’ll see ISA Server 2006 with HTML Form Authentication, Single sign-on capability, and SSL Bridging.

Branch Office Security with ISA Server 2006

Here Windows Server 2003 R2 and ISA Server 2006 are shown working toether to connect, secure and optimise bandwidth between branch offices. You’ll be able to see HTTP Compression, BITS caching, DiffServ Tagging for ISA, and Distributied File System Replication and Remote Differential Compression for WS2003.

Internet Access Protection with ISA server 2006

In this scenario ISA Server 2006 is being used for network edge protection again internal and externally originating threats. This part highlights Application-Layer Inspection and Flood Resiliency.

Download it here (1KB-1049.2MB dependent on the components you select).

Further instructions on how to download are found on the link above (you’ll need a Live ID to log in) but you will need Windows Server 2003, Vista or XP, and up to 4GB RAM (for CRM3.0) to support the toolkit.
