Update on Microsoft Office Accounting

Here is the situation regarding Microsoft Office Accounting so far in the UK…

Currently the product is only available from Microsoft as a download in three different versions  (www.msofficeaccounting.co.uk):

Express -which is a free version available to anyone to download for free

Professional - 60-day free trial or £149.99 (exc. VAT) for a full copy (3-user license is £349.99)

Professional Plus (inc. 12 month subscription to the payroll service) £249.99 (exc. VAT)

Look out around February/March 2008 for the FPP versions which will be available through normal channels (hoorah!).

This product is competitively positioned against Sage Line 50 (approx £700/£800)

Microsoft Professional Accountant’s Network

Edinburgh SBS Group present Microsoft Office Accounting

**Update** (29th February 2008)

Office Accounting Professional: £149.99 (exc. VAT)

Office Accounting Pro (three user version): £249.99 (exc. VAT)

Office Accounting Pro Plus (inclused 12 month payroll subscription): £349.99 (exc. VAT)

**Update** (14th March 2008)

Microsoft Office Accounting will not be available to Microsoft Action Pack subscribers. At the moment Microsoft Office Accounting is only approved by UK Accounting Professional bodies whilst the MAP is available to all English speaking countries. Therefore, it cannot be included because all countries who cannot use the product will have access to it making it very complicated in the future.

  2. Hello,

My name is Bryan from Microsoft Office Accounting Technical Support. Just wanted to point out that the product is £149.95 not £249.99. I do see that this was posted in December 07′ though. FYI -> I do support strictly for the UK version. :)

    Thanks,

  3. Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the post. The £249.99 is for the Professional version plus a 12-month subscription to payroll - is this also now £149.95/9?
