Managing my excitement

Just a personal post to say that I am getting excited. With only a matter of days to go until our Small Business Forum on Thursday I’m hoping everyone remembers to turn up. Looking at the attendee list we have 170 delegates attending and I’ve asked lots of people from Microsoft, Symantec, and HP, nicely to attend and they are…
… now I’ve just got to make sure it’s worth it for everyone involved.
Loads of people have booked hotel rooms so it will be good to see them relaxed and enjoying themselves the night before in the pub. It’ll be a welcomed breather amidst a busy week.
I’m out Monday presenting in Reading*, Tuesday will be spent prepping our team and then making sure we haven’t forgotten anything. On Wednesday I have a few meetings with Partners in the morning as they arrive at our offices and then in the afternoon we have a roundtable event with vendors and Partners which should be well attended and very interesting. Then, after that, I’ll be making sure Partners get to their hotels and then meet them again in the evening to make sure they meet new peers and enjoy their time there.
Then comes Thursday morning. I’ll be up early and into Microsoft to make sure everyone knows what they are doing and then greeting our guests. As I type this I’ve remembered I need to write my slides! I’ll do that later. I’m off home to watch my brother and my friends play a bit of rugby today - I need the distraction! 
If you are attending our Small Business Forum and have a question you would like asked then please make sure you submit them to me before Thursday. All questions submitted prior to the Event will get priority over audience-based ones. We’ll be making a number available throughout the day so that you can text them in readiness for our Executive Q&A session in the afternoon as well.
Even after the Event finishes, the ball will start to roll again the week after as we make sure the follow-up is in place to make sure that it wasn’t all about the Forum and rather the start of something that makes a difference in our Small Business market!
I remember when I used to organise breakfast meetings and events when I was a reseller - the excitement doesn’t change and hopefully my experience has stood me in good stead - only one way to find out! You’ll see the result come Thursday!
