‘What’s Stopping You?’ Events

There are a series of one-day events running from November until March 2007 specifically for women wanting to find out more about working for yourself. Although I’m not keen on women-only events (are men not allowed to know the same things as us?), I know from presenting at previous events these are hugely successful.

“This one-day event is designed for all women interested in working for themselves. Whether your dream is to become a big business leader or to simply find ways to fit work around other commitments, come along and find out if working for yourself could be a smart move for you!”

I’m going to be presenting at this on how to make the best use of technology and will be making recommendations to the audience to contact their local Small Business Specialist.

So here’s the opportunity, I’m standing up in front of an audience who need assistance. The type of prospect isn’t going to suit everyone, but what happens if certain local SBSCers thought to contact me and offer themselves as a suggested Partner of choice?

Who says I don’t put the Community first? :)

More information on the event and the locations (Kent, Sussex, Bucks, Hampshire, Surrey, Berks, Oxfordshire) can be found on www.whatsstoppingyouevents.co.uk.

p.s. not sure about the prize you can receive for registering but I have a feeling the prize has been supported by a local business who is trying to gain new business. High five to that company for thinking outside of the box.

  1. Im stunned! The only venue in kent listed is ramsgate. We’re normally the last people to end up on any form of tour or event !

Anyways, I can certainly recommend an SBSC partner in that area ;)

  2. […] How is it when I talk about Microsoft Small Business Specialists that they didn’t even know about them and wouldn’t know where to begin in terms of finding them? More and more in my talks, I feel like I’ve taken on the role of the MotherShip and doing something that the Community has been asking for such a long time. What’s more, at the end of the presentation they give me their business cards so that I can forward them names of Partners in their areas - thank you to those Partners that offered their services as a result of my previous post. […]
