Changes to the Microsoft Action Pack
About time too as well!
A training and assessment requirement will take effect from November 30th 2007 for new and renewing subscribers.
If you are going to be one of these, then you will be required to take any Microsoft e-Learning course and then pass its associated assessment with a minimum score of 70 percent. To continue receiving your Microsoft Action Pack Subscription (MAPS), you will be required to pass an assessment every two years.
More information available to Microsoft Partners here.
New Special Edition Toolkits
In order to receive either/both of these kits designed with the Microsoft Small Business Specialist and Web solution providers in mind. To qualify, you will need to take part in some additional assessments (if you are already one of these then look out for the kits which will be automatically delivered to you twice a year).
What does this mean for you?
- No more coming up against customers who tell you they just need the hardware as they already have the software for £200/year. Yes Mr. Baker and Mr. Car Leasing Company - that means you!
- The standard of your peers gets cranked up a notch. No more just buying your way in buddy!
- Microsoft Small Business Specialists and Web Solution Providers are treated to another reason as to why they qualified as specialist Partners in the first place.
