Microsoft Windows Mobile 6

I’ve just updated my XDA Trion (Orbit users can update by clicking here) to Mobile 6 and I am pleased to say it was pain free!
A few of our customers ask us to break down fluffy words such as ’secure’ and ‘productive’ into real words and I found a datasheet on Windows Mobile 6 which you might find useful?
Reasons why I like Mobile 6:
- I can install certificates really easily
- I can access my Global Address List
- Mobile 6 ‘Windows Update’ works in the same way as it does on my desktop
- I can view my calendar in the same way I can on my desktop as well as flag items in a similar way
- Windows Live is already installed and I can see my Live ID status on the Today page
- I can encrypt my mini-SD card
- Remote device wipe (love it!)

Oh, and it’s much prettier…
I’d be much more comfortable letting my customer loose on this, I remember how reluctant I was to do so with Pocket PC 2003! Great to see that things are motoring on in the right direction.
>>encrypt my mini-SD card
there is a problem with WM6 encryption - once your device is cold booted, the encryption keys are lost - so it the encrypted data.
I’d suggest taking a look on volume encryption software, e.g. SecuBox from Aiko - http://www.aikosolutions.com/products/secubox-for-pocket-pc/ or FreeOTFE
