Comments on and within the UK SMB Community (Formerly ‘UK SMB Girl’)

You can take the girl out of SMB…

But you can’t take SMB out of the girl!

July is going to be a busy time for me, I’m off to the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference to speak at the Small Business Symposium (hope to see you there!) and I’m also off to pastures new in terms of my career.

After being with Readycrest for seven years (well really since I was 13 when the sales office was my bedroom!) I’m taking a change in career and will be working with Westcoast Distribution as their Microsoft Channel Development Manager with a specific focus on the SBSC community.

I’m not going to talk much more about Westcoast on this blog unless I feel it is appropriate as this site is independent of who I work with/for. What I will say is that whilst there is obviously a commercial backbone to my job, I will still be heavily involved in the community and not giving up the things I have enjoyed doing in my spare time so far.

I’ll be working on a few things to help connect with you better in my new role and I hope you keep an eye on this site and the new one. I’ll update you with more on this at the beginning of July.

More on the Microsoft Small Business Symposium and the WWPC to follow shortly. The theme of my presentation will be about how to do better business with the tools and resources around you. I’ll be using examples from the community and there may even be a workshop-angle to it - aren’t you lucky lads and lasses! Let me know if there are any specifics you would like covered.
